TP is 84 years old. He has been a resident of a care home for the elderly for the past 2 years. Originally, he came to the care home with his wife as they felt that they would be happier in a care home receiving help with everyday tasks and the opportunity to be around other people of a similar age. TP’s wife passed away 1 month ago. TP has 2 Daughters but they both live quite a distance away from the care home.
There are 50 adults in total in the care home including TP. The adults range in age from 72 – 94 years old. There are 10 healthcare workers employed in the care home. Each day there is a wide range of activities set out for the residents of the care home such as:
