Brief: Please Select an Inclusivity Opportunity in your Placement Context and conduct an Educational Inclusivity/Equity
analysis using the content of module HD594.

Guidelines:

1. This is an authentic assignment/assessment. You are asked to consider a real opportunity that exists in your current
placement setting in order to apply your HD594 knowledge and skills in a meaningful way. This is a completely anonymous task based strictly on your own observations in context and your inclusivity/equity ideas arising from your learning on this module. It is also authentic in the sense that this analysis is how you can continue to develop as an inclusive educator over the coming years.

2. Please apply your learning from all module material, speakers and events from weeks 1-12. Under no circumstances is
it permissible to interview others or gather data from others or present others’ views; this is an application of knowledge, skills and values from this module. Please be sure to apply your original thinking to the opportunity and refer to module content and sources throughout to support your analysis.

2. Please start to notice potential opportunities and share questions/ideas with your PLC over the coming weeks as you
move through the tasks of weeks 7, 9, 10 and 11. Collaborative practice, teasing through your analysis, your questions and your ideas as well as how to apply module content is likely to enhance the quality of your end product.

3. Please include macro (beyond your classroom) and micro (within your classroom(s) level aspects in your analysis so that you have maximum opportunity for deepening your learning and thus for gaining the marks you wish.

4. Please use the assessment criteria (below) to ensure you build your assignment in line with expectations. Beyond those criteria, this is a very open assignment wherein you are encouraged to consider multiple factors and multiple means of assessment. It is preferable to do something other than an essay but of course, essays are also acceptable. Assessment criteria are identical for all formats because the emphasis is on the substance of your learning and your application there of.

5. Loop material and module reading lists are the recommended sources for you to use in support of your analysis. If you wish to use other resources please mention these when I meet with your PLC during weeks 11 and 12. I will schedule consultation meetings with each PLC during weeks 11 and 12 of the semester. During these meetings, each person will have the opportunity to receive oral feedback from me on the ideas and analysis you have been working on since week 7 and each person will get to benefit from the feedback to other PLC members. Under no circumstances will there be any written correspondence from me on this assignment or assignment 1.
