Tom Doyle, aged 70 years, lives alone in Dublin and is planning to retire next month. His wife, Ann, died last year and his daughter lives with her three children nearby. He enjoys golf, soccer and going to the cinema.

  • Discuss the process of ageing, attitudes, and impacts of ageing on older people.
