Your Task Includes Two Main Components:

1. Design a Poster Advert (A4 Size – One Page)

You must design an A4-sized poster advert (Word document format) to promote one specific activity for the target age group (11–15 years).

Poster Requirements:

  • Use bright colours and eye-catching images that appeal to teenagers.
  • Clearly state:
  • The name of the activity
  • Location/venue of the activity
  • Date and time (e.g. school holiday or weekend afternoon)
  • That the activity is free for all 11–15-year-olds
  • How they can register or join (provide imaginary but realistic details like a website, QR code, or phone number)

2. Commentary (500 Words +/-10%) – One Page

On a second page, write a 500-word commentary that explains how you would expand the poster advert into a TV commercial.

Commentary Guidelines:

  • Your audience is the Local Education Authority, who are funding the campaign.
  • Focus on how the TV ad will:
  • Visually and emotionally appeal to 11–15-year-olds
  • Reinforce the poster’s key messages
  • Showcase the activity in action (e.g. kids climbing walls, cheering each other, etc.)
  • Feature inclusive and diverse representation of teenagers
  • Use music, colour, and energy to grab attention
  • End with clear, actionable joining details (e.g. “Sign up now for free at…”)
