Describe Bowlby’s attachment theory and outline how modern attachment (regulation) theory conceptualises the formation of attachment in infancy. Provide three criticisms of Bowlby’s  concept of monotropy with reference to evidence-based research.

According to modern theories of attachment, what role can clinical social work play in repairing disrupted attachment patterns?

Section A:

Write an essay summarising the research on adverse childhood experiences’ (ACES) impact on a child’s cognitive, social and physical development and the long-term impacts that can be experienced in adulthood as a result of these experiences.
