You must write a technical report to evaluate the Linux kernel support for Wireguard VPNs.
In your report, you should discuss whether it would have been better to implement Wireguard using rather than as a loadable module or directly in the kernel.
Description
Imagine that you are responsible for the firmware of an embedded controller to be used in the management of an offshore wind farm. The operating system in use is Linux. The controller is attached to the Internet, allowing telemetry to be collected offsite and the farm to be controlled from an onshore control room. It is imperative that the communications between the control room and the wind farm be secure.
You had intended to configure a Virtual Private Network (VPN) your manager has read exciting things about Wireguard in the technical literature and urges you to consider securing the system’s communications using this approach.
