Policies and procedures are essential and even critical to the running of the Residential Centre. As these provide guidelines that must be adhered to in the daily running of the Residential Centre to ensure that regulations and laws are adhered to.  The Residential Centres work ensure that any person under the age of 18 is cast as a child and will have a suitable place to live.  The Residential Centre has many policies in place which has to provide them with the skills and knowledge to guide them and make them successful.  Some of the policies that they currently have in place are:

Evidence-informed policy, this policy is to help in getting background information on your client and what led them to the Residential Centre. Inadequate accurate information will cause the organization to not be able to put correct services in place to meet the young person’s needs.
