Design a 5-week programme that specifically aims to develop the aerobic capacity of your athletes:

1. Describe your athlete, or group of athletes in terms of their sport (or event), their training background (and relevant stage within the LTAD Pathway) and other factors that you consider reflect the unique characteristics of your athlete(s) (10 marks).

2. Choose and describe a practical method of testing for Maximum Aerobic Speed (MAS) for this athlete(s) (20 marks).

3. Using the results from the above test design, a method of training that uses supra-maximal levels of effort (20 marks).

4. Design a 5-week programme wherein this method of training is detailed. Describe the number of sessions and progression modifications to meet the needs of your athletes/sport (30 marks).

5. Describe how your athlete(s) training may progress following the 5-week period of development (10 marks).

6. Referencing and overall presentation (10 marks).
